Webseiten und Schriften sind immer ein schwieriges Thema: Es krankt an plattformübergreifend einheitlichen Schriften, unterschiedlichen Renderverfahren, benutzerspezifischen Schrifteinstellungen, etc.
Davon abgesehen müssen Schriften möglichst ausbalanciert gestaltet werden. Schließlich sollten auch längere Texte gut lesbar sein.
Eine Entscheidungshilfe und Vergleichmöglichkeit bietet Typetester. Hier können unterschiedliche Schriftbilder gegeneinander in Schrifttype, Abstand, Größe, Farbe, etc. in drei Spalten verglichen werden.
Hat man die passenden Einstellungen gefunden, kann man sich oben in den Tools die nötigen CSS-Einstellungen direkt ausgeben lassen und muss sie nur noch in das eigene Stylesheet übernehmen.

Seit einiger Zeit kann ich vom Mac in der Klinik www.praegnanz.de nicht mehr ansurfen. Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, hat Gerrit van Aaken vor einiger Zeit auf eine neue JavaScript-Bibliothek umgestellt. Ob es daran liegt?
Ich sollte ihn demnächst mal anschreiben und schauen, ob noch jemand dieses Problem hat.
